E! Online reports that the character of Tim Speedle will be returning to CSI: Miami in the 6th season. That seems a bit out of the ordinary, since he was killed off in the 3rd season. But here’s what the article has to say about it:
CBS confirmed to E! News Monday that Rory Cochrane, whose character was killed off during CSI: Miami’s third-season premiere back in 2004, will be back for an unspecified number of episodes this year.
Back…from the dead.
“He will be reprising the role of Tim Speedle and it’s not a flashback,” a network spokesperson said. “He will be interacting with his old partner and friend, Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez).”
There’s no word as to how Jerry Bruckheimer’s minions are going to explain Speedle’s resurrection, but you’ve got your faking death, your witness protection, your evil schemes…etc. But now, at least, Speedle, who was gunned down during a police shootout after his own weapon malfunctioned, has a shot at redemption.
Perhaps it will be like in Rescue Me where Tommy’s dead partner is seen talking to him and he’s the only one that sees him. Who knows? But it sure will be interesting! ;-)

This should be great !!! :D Speed coming back … :O TOTALY AWESOME … even if he is just in one episode as a ghost :) I cant believe they killed him off in the first place :O JUST TOTALLY WRONG !!! Me and my friends were siting watching ‘ Lost Son ‘ last night :( TOO SAD !!!! Anyways … does anyone know what episode number it is ? Because the UK have just started the 6th season >:( DAMN UK !!!

Maybe they’ll kill off Horatio and bring Speed back to replace him.

Maybe with Speed coming back for a few episodes Horatio will start calling them by their first names. Hopefully the team will become close again!!!
after speed’s death Horatio has started to say, mr. Wolfe and Miss. Boa Vista. I hate it, it was better when the tne on the team was more familiar..
Boy you guys don’t read the CSI websites!!! They interviewed Rory about the ONE episode he’s in and he’s in the show for a very small piece of time. He’s not a evil twin. The way he says it he doesn’t have any plans to be a regular again because he wasn’t asked to be. He’s only in the one show!!!!

i think ryan and delko r totally hottt. if speed takes ryan’s place, some writters r gonnna get some very rude letters. lol. i hope salis dies. and ryan gets his plac back. they cant get rid of the hottest guy. duh

Yeah, I can’t wait either! I just hope that Speedle doesn’t take Ryan’s place who took Speedle’s place. If Speedle is truly alive and ready to go back to work, I hope that they just add him on. I need Ryan back. He is a sweet sight for my eyes. As long as Salis is gone.
So is anyone else really excited for the upcoming episodes with Speedle? I can’t wait!!!
Yeah, I did notice that. I read somewhere that it was the only episode where Speedle smiled. I could have sworn he smiled in other episodes too.
By the way, did anyone notice that the picture of Speedle at the top was from the episode Grand Prix? That was the longest and most boring episode of CSI: Miami. Ehh… It still makes me shutter. :(
Even though I hate the fact that the Miami writers are trying to bring back the possibly dead, I do think that bringing back Miami’s favorite forensic family would be flippin’ great. Ryan and Natalia are totally into each other. I hope that dude Caliegh likes gets shot or something. I hate him, that’s why I don’t bother to remember his name. It’s Delko or no one, girl! Ryan better get reinstated, or else there will be one less irresistable beautiful male actor on the show. Caruso is far from pretty. Especially with his cranked neck and puffy cheeks. Besides, he could never truly be with someone. He’s too in love with his sunglasses. That’s why all his girls eventually get shot. Next up is Salis, and I can’t wait for that. She’s a Ryan hater!!!
Does anyone else think it would be cool if Rory Cochrane came back permanently and the entire team was back together again? (Including Ryan & Natalia?)
nope, the only thing we saw after Speed’s dead was his funeral. And think about it We hear in three seasons that Raymond Cain is death, everybody think his dead, his wife, son and his brother and then he suddely turns up, to help Horatio find his son. Who knows maybe it will be the same with Speed. I like Speed much better than i like Ryan, because Speed work much better with the rest of the team, and he 100% sure on what his is doing. except when dont clean his gun. Anyway, im just looking forward to see some new episodes, in Denmark the stopped in the middel of a season, and started all over again, for the summer. and it was not just CSI miami, but also the two others…
I’m here writing again to say that any doubts you guys have you can contact me through my e-mail, i liked to know that there are many csi fanatics sharing their opinions and i’d like one of you to keep me posted about the new season, please because here in Brazil the season 5 has just finished and i,m looking foward to coming the new one. Let´s hope Speedle comes back and Ryan stays on the show. Thanks everybody
I just had another thought. I was watching today’s episode of The Young and the Restless, and it occured to me that Speedle might have a twin. It may be farfetched, but maybe his twin is trying to figure out what happened to his bro by talking to Eric, his best bud. But if I had it my way, it would be all in Eric’s head. Also, I have a confession to make. I just started watching CSI: Miami this season, in fact, the episode that got me started was when Delko got shot, so I watch reruns on A and E and the 10:35 pm showing of Miami on weekend nights, and the first Speedle show I saw was the one when he got shot. I was all like, “Who the heck is this dude? Whose that lady detective?” But I have seen many more episodes with Speedle and Salis ( That is her name, right. Close enough, I hope), and so I have a better understanding of the characters. Seeing a familiar face of long ago will be nice. I didn’t like it when Salis girl came back and got Ryan fired. She will pay!!!
