Spend Thanksgiving With The Apes

Get your paws off my turkey leg, you damn dirty ape! The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that Fox Movie Channel will become the “Channel of the Apes” over the Thanksgiving Weekend, Nov.27-30. The channel will present all five of the theatrical films in their original widescreen format:

Planet of the Apes (1968)
Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972)
Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)

The marathon will also show the TV movies made from the 1974 TV series.

The Forgotten City of the Apes (1981)
Treachery and Greed on the Planet of the Apes (1981)
Life, Liberty, and Pursuit on the Planet of the Apes (1981)
Farewell to the Planet of the Apes (1981)

The simian shebang begins Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. ET with the premiere of Fox Legacy:Planet of the Apes. Most importantly, there is no sign of Tim Burton or Mark Wahlberg anywhere near this marathon.
