"Soul Men" – Preview and Trailer

soulmenposter It’s so sad that Bernie Mac passed away in August. I know he’s been working in the business since the 1990s, but it seems like his career really took shape over the past few years, with the “Ocean’s 11″ movies and “The Bernie Mac Show.” On Friday, he’ll be in theaters in two movies – “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” and “Soul Men.”

In “Soul Men,” he and Samuel L. Jackson play a singing duo who went their separate ways back in the day and never spoke again. The death of their former group leader (John Legend) reunites them and sends them driving cross country for a tribute concert at the legendary Apollo Theatre. The catch: They have only five days to bury the hatchet on a 20-year-old grudge.

More after the jump, including a trailer…

Directed by Malcolm Lee, “Soul Men” is rated R for pervasive language and sexual content, including nudity. In theaters Nov. 7, 2008. Official Site.
