I live in Dallas and got inside the set and took pics of the yard of the prison and the front/entrance. They’re done shooting inside of it and it is to be tore down in 1-2 weeks, possibly.
The actual outside shots of the prisons with the prison guard etc. is filmed at any old meatpacking plant in Fort Worth, they also filmed the underground scenes of the prison at the meat packing plant as well.
Just got word today, Oct 12th, that there’s still some filming to be done at the Sona set but it’ll be torn down in a week or two.

It’s located near downtown Dallas in an old detention center on Harry Hines Blvd. I drove past it this past week and I could still see the back of the set so it hasn’t been torn down. Go to maps.google.com and search for Sona Prison. There’s multiple locations in the Dallas/Ft Worth area where they shoot the scenes for Sona but the main courtyard is the one on Harry Hines.
