No doubt that at least some of you have read about the blogger over at Antiquiet.com that was arrested by the FBI for leaking some Chinese Democracy songs on the Internet. Well the L.A. Times interviewed Saul “Slash” Hudson, former Guns N Roses guitar player (as if you didn’t know) and he had this to say:
“I hope he rots in jail,” Slash told the Los Angeles Times.”It’s going to affect the sales of the record, and it’s not fair. The Internet is what it is, and you have to deal with it accordingly, but I think if someone goes and steals something, it’s theft.
This really pissed me off. I’m not saying what the dude (Kevin Cogill, AKA Skwerl) did was right and legal, but how does that bible verse go? “He who is without sin…STFU because your a god damned liar!”. I doubt if Slash ever reads my pages but if he does I hope he sees my comment from The Rock Dose that says the following:
“F*ck you, Saul. Surely you have done worse and got away with it. You know what’s going to effect record sales? The fact that this has been sitting on the shelf for 13 years. Trust me, even though a few songs leaked on the Internet, Chinese Democracy will probably sell well over 100,000 copies in it’s first week, hell maybe even the first few days, just because of all the hype. You holier than thou douche bag! You’ve probably screwed under-age girls, done more drugs than most addicts, even admitted to dealing drugs yourself, asshole! Have you ever served time or have been fined for any of that? By the way…The Snake Pit sucked!”
Seriously, who the hell does this dude think he is? Like he’s never committed a crime? Jerk-off!

Slash is a retard. Why is he sticking up for Axl so much? Does he want him to take him back or something? If I were Slash I would have laughed and said thats what he gets. The only decent aspect of this album is going to be that Buckethead graced those douches with his presence.

How would you feel if one of your best friends makes you sign a contract when your drunk, making him the owner of the band that caused so much happiness for you? And he does not sleep with underage girls you dick! I am betting that you imagine doing underage girls don’t you? Well the part that he took drugs was true, but he never dealt them! I thought you Americans had a right of free speech? Then you cannot critisize him for saying something that he thinks is right! I am just telling you to not pick on other people cause you have a shit life and want others to feel your pain!

How do you know that he never did any underage girls back in the 80’s or early 90’s? You have no clue. He drank too much and signed a contract. That was a stupid thing to do. We all make mistakes when we’re drinking. Lastly I don’t have a shit life. It may not be all “riches and bitches”, but it’s pretty damn good. Obviously you’re a little obsessive over Slash though. And this free speech in American lets me criticize and call people douche bags when they say or do stupid things.
All I’m saying is that this dude shouldn’t wish someone rots in prison for leaking some demo tracks while he’s done much worse in his life.

Slash is my idol mate, I know quite a bit about his life as well! I read his biography, he never mentioned doing underaged girls.

I understand where you’re coming from. Slash is a great guitar player, I can’t take that away from him. Of course he’s not going to say anything in his book about having sex with underage girls, that would possibly incriminate himself and he may not have…knowingly, who knows?
I was a bit harsh, but wishing someone rots in jail because they leaked some demo tracks is much more harsh that anything I have said. There are far greater crimes to be punished. I don’t condone illegal downloading but I don’t think a stiff prison sentence is justice for this type of crime. I’m sure a fat fine is more than fair. This dude was hunted down by the FBI and treated like some serial killer. If Slash had said something like “I hope they fine the hell out of him.” I would not have been bitter at all.

I am sure he said what he said because he was under pressure by the media or something. But you are right it would have been better if he had not said it in the first place.
