Comments on: Showtime admits Season 3 was Brotherhood’s last

I am appauled but not surprised that good old Showtime, a subsidiary of evil CBS, has cancelled another superior show without any announcement. Without any doubt, this is the most authentic acting and location and atmosphere of any American television show for adults in my lifetime. I lived in Attleboro, MA. in the ’60′s,(that is right across the state line from Providence).These characters truely took me back there in current times with their on target accents,querks,likes & dislikes, etc. The drama was adult, over the top sometimes but intense and intellegent and seemingly leading us on towards some future of the characters and the family.
Here is why I dropped cable and bought a “Dennys HDTV Antenna” off the web. HBO sabotaged us on their series, “Carnival.” There have been others. I switched to Netflix so I only have to deal with the sting of the abrupt non-ended series. Not paying through the nose for cable & it’s “premium-CHEAP” channels that stop shows with no warning leaves me feeling less stupid. Watch them do this with “Dexter.” It’s already getting sloppy and disconnected. That usually means writers are fleeing like rats.
I tip my hat to “Brotherhood” and every actor on it.To the staff and production people who are as much a vital part of the show as the actors. I never saw anyone break character. The locations and “sets” were truely excellent and pulled at my 1960′s heart and memories.
I’ll look forward to seeing them all again elsewhere.

Up Yours CBS & Showtime.You’ll eventually get yours, just like all of the standard networks are for theirs & your lack of connection to what the public wants.What arrogance!

Come on!How can you just drop this show like that without any explabation or attempt to at least wrap the storyline up.Leaves a bad mark for Showtime vs. HBO,AMC,etc.
Poor attempt to keep fans watching your channel.I’m a big pay per view boxing and octagon fan but we’ll be a long time since I watch on Showtime. And now we would like to bring you (lights out for effect) NO TIME!!!! see ya!

One of the best shows on television! They really needed tomarket it a little better and this could have surpassed the soprano’s. I think they made a huge mistake here ending it

wow what a surprise.. yet another great show cancelled. nice work showtime. you idiots. when are these companies going to get it… a good show or better a few will build your loyal viewer subscriptions.. these tactics are kind of a big FU to everyone init? well FU showtime ;))

We’ve seen it before . I enjoyed the show although I think it went over the top a bit towards the end . It could have gone 1 or 2 seasons more but I always thought that
Six Feet Under could have gone on another 6 years as well as all of my dead friends who are are only here in my memory . I’ll be happy as long as it is not replaced with yet another reality show .

This was the best show I have seen in years! I was so wrapped up in it. I want to keep an eye out for the actors so I can look forward to their next roles. Watched it on Direct TV 101 too.

the producers, and director might want to re-air this program on another network that has more viewers. I know they would get a larger following. Just finished watching the final episode on Direct TV T101.

hate to see Brotherhood over. best series I have seen in awhile.

It’s a shame, this is the best show since the soprano’s hit HBO and they cancelled it! This show, if marketed correctly would have beaten the soprano’s in popularity in time I am sure of it!
