Sean Hayes, the actor who portrayed Will & Grace‘s flamboyantly gay and always fun neighbor “Just” Jack McFarland for eight seasons on NBC, has been cast in a new Dimension Films feature flick called Soul Men.
The 37-year-old Emmy winner and Chicago native joins a lineup that also includes leads Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac, as well as supporting players Jennifer Coolidge, Sharon Leal, Isaac Hayes, John Legend, Affion Crockett, Adam Herschman, Fatso Fasano, and Jackie Long.
Currently filming in Memphis and Los Angeles, the comedy stars Jackson and Mac as two former band members who reluctantly reunite after another former colleague (Legend) dies. Hayes takes on the role of the band’s manager, who has a bit of a personality problem.
Malcolm Lee of the currently playing Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins is directing Soul Men, which arrives in theaters on October 10, 2008.
