Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles is out on DVD today but if you want the special steel book packaging you have to go to Best Buy and fast. The special package is a tin rather than a box and it features the Cameron poster instead of the John and Sarah poster which is on the traditional DVD box.
Inside the disc fit is a little awkward but I can live with it. There’s something about a Terminator DVD box made of metal that’s just too cool to pass up, especially for a sale price of $22.99. The set comes with a fold-out booklet with the episode guide and some nice photos. Extras on the DVD include commentaries, behind the scenes featurettes and a gag reel.
The steel book packages are only available at Best Buy and each location has a limited number of units to sell, so if you want one, go now.
I’ll report back once I’ve had a chance to check out the DVDs themselves.
On a related note, I was playing “where have I seen him before” while watching The Middleman and the solution came when I flipped on the end of last night’s Sarah Connor repeat. Wendy Watson’s new boyfriend Tyler was Andy Goode on Sarah Connor — actor Brendan Hines.
