On how he came up with T-Bag’s accent and demeanor: “I kind of stole a little bit from Kevin Bacon in ‘JFK.’ Right from the get-go my gut feeling was ‘just have fun with it.’ I don’t have to try; I do understand T-Bag. I always came from playing him from a point of empathy. Otherwise he would have just been a one-dimensional character that you would have easily gotten over in a couple of episodes.”
On how often he’s asked about what will happen on the show: “I’ll say the same thing to them that I say to my wife when she wants to know what’s going to happen next Monday night. I say, ‘I don’t want to give you a Christmas present too early.’ People have been desperate. More than any other show I’ve worked on, people want to know what’s happening. It’s a constant thing for us.”
