If you’ve been following Lifetime’s first ever original comedy Rita Rocks, starring Nicole Sullivan (King of Queens), keep in mind that tonight’s episode “We Can Work It Out” is the end of the first season.
During the finale, Rita’s happiness over getting a much-desired promotion to manager at work is quickly surpassed by anxiety when she realizes she just doesn’t have it in her to do so much at home and on the job. Consequently, she decides to let go of the garage band she formed at the beginning of the series in order to free up more time to take care of her responsibilities.
That’s when Rita’s husband Jay and her two daughters jump into action. After noticing that she’s lost her spark without the band in her life, they resolve to help Rita find a way to make room for it in her busy schedule.
Rita Rocks airs Mondays on Lifetime at 8pm EST. Although the network hasn’t announced a Season Two pickup yet, it will repeat the first season in the same time slot starting next week.
Nicole Sullivan is a terrible over-actor, who bugs out her eyes. This is as good as her b-list career is going to get. Is Richard Ruccolo gay?
