Rihanna’s “Rated R” Coming Next Week

Rihanna will be releasing her first album since being assaulted by former boyfriend, Chris Brown.  First of all, since she originally went back to him (and caused a public outcry), I’m just happy to see that she’s come to her senses and is actually speaking out against domestic violence now. 

Now that I’ve gotten the niceties out of the way, I’ve got to say that there really aren’t any songs on her new Rated R album that I truly love (or even like for that matter).  I realize that she was probably going through a lot at the time but it’s stark and bare and just weird at times.  It’s definitely a new sound for her so maybe I just need to get used to it.
