Tonight I contacted our local state police and metropolitan police to see if it would be possible to get a tour, interview or even a possible ride-along with members of their CSI teams. I’m hoping I get a positive and welcoming response and be able to see how a real CSI team works for myself. We all know it’s not how it’s portrayed on TV, but what is it REALLY like?
When I was growing up my dad was a police officer and a deputy coroner for a really small town in Kentucky. Don’t let the small town throw you though. He was called out on some pretty bad wrecks, a chainsaw murder, and a few drownings that were pretty gross. He had pictures to prove it too.
Getting a chance to see the real world in action again as an adult would be a fun afternoon or evening I’m sure.
