I think King is dead on!
What the hill in twilight that makes it worth reading or even considered (original or ingenious)?
this depiction of vampires ( the sad, dark, quiet, closed of and handsome) who isolate themselves from other peaple, and the one that falls for the human girl is all (overdone- thoroughly exploited plot) that has nothing new or hooking any more, and where is the story actually? where is the drama? that the girl was chased by an evil vampire and saved?
Yes, stephanie mayer can’t write worth a darn, and you might want to see twilight rating on imdb!

Here’s the thing… Stephenie Meyer has simply taken the basic theme of every garbage romance novel out there and thrown in vampires. Completely unoriginal, and she could frankly use a better editor. JK Rowling, however, had a very original idea and wrote quite well with it. I’m with mister King on this one.

I agree with Kng. She can’t write. What she writes is boring. I tried to read it, I honestly did try; but it was so boring, how she was talking about vampire love and sparkly vampires how the sparkly skin is the “skin of the killer” I think she came up with this idea when she was high on something. I found it terrible. However, with Harry Potter, JK Rowling has sparked my interest time and time again with each passing book, until the grand finale. Every plot, every twist at the end made me interested all the more, and anticipate the next Harry Potter book. The same applies to King’s novels. When HP finally ended 3 years ago, I was saddened because there would be no next HP to look forward to. Also, just because Meyer sold a lot of books doesn’t mean she can write. It just means there are a gaggle of girls who would love to be involved with a “tortured artist” version of a vampire.

Stephen King is a god compared to Stephanie Meyer. Twilight is a very stupid and I only read and saw the first book and movie. Shawshank Redemption the movie is just as amazing as the story Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption.

stephen king knows what he’s talking about because he is the master of horror books(in my opinion). sad truth is that most people nowadays fail to make their own judgment and just go with the hype. i read the twilight (forced myself to finish it) and it’s okay. i get the same feeling when i “read” typical shoujo manga. :))) didn’t make me think. nor did i imagine myself a secondary character, something i do when a novel’s really good. as for jk rowling…she’s definitely amazing. HP will be classics. btw, king is the king. XD

Stephen King is 100% right. I have (unfortunately) read Twilight and most fanfiction I have read is better than the trash she writes. I also love how Stephanie Meyer ‘Fans’ have rushed to her aid saying he doesn’t know a good book if it hit him. Maybe we should all take copies of ‘The Shawshank Redemption’, ‘The Shining’ and other class hits and hit them with his books?

You failed to mention the part where he said Rowling was an writer for the ages,and Meyer is a writer of the season. It’s true. Twilight will pass, and no one will care. How long has Potter been around? And how big is THAT fan base? That’s what I thought.
