Radiohead Stage L.A. Gig For Haiti Earthquake Victims

As you’re no doubt aware, Haiti has been left devastated by a massive earthquake near its capital Port-au-Prince a couple of weeks ago. The situation is grim, with thousands of casualties and hundreds of thousands of people left injured or affected.

Luckily, millions of dollars in aid has been raised and continues to be raised, with governments, celebrities, businessmen, and ordinary people contributing to the fund.

Radiohead’s contribution has been to stage a one-off gig in Los Angeles to raise money and awareness for the victims and survivors of the disaster. Their gig at Music Box Theatre At The Fonda was in aid of Oxfam’s appeal to raise money for the cause.

Tickets for the show were auctioned off in advance, and Radiohead played a full, 24-song set. Ateaseweb has the full setlist but suffice to say the band played all the hits plus a new song titled Lotus Flower.

Let’s hope this and other high-profile events raise awareness and inspire more people to donate time and money to the relief effort.
