Episode 4.21/22: Rate of Exchange/Killing Your Number

Kristen at E!Online has some new spoilers regarding the Prison Break season finale. She hints about K-Man returning, and then gets to the good stuff!
“A certain mystery guest is making a very important appearance in the finale, so important, everyone’s lives depend on it.
Said guest may not have been a fan favorite at the time, but fans sure love this person now. By promise of death, we cannot tell you who returns. But suffice it to say that you’ll be shocked because this person has been pretty dead for a while now.”

- Someone has a very new girlfriend.
- A man dies.
- A woman dies.
- Two women are held hostage.
- Someone ends up a vegetable, and we’re not talking about the yummy, delicious kind.
- Someone goes back to Fox River State Penitentiary.
- Someone ends up in the electric chair.
- Two nemeses have very similar fates.
- Sarah is very dangerous with a gun (see above).
off topic,sorry but does anyone know what episode the scuba shop is first mentioned cause I think sucre mentioned it in season 4 episode 15 not sure could some one tell me
I agree with you misafan – I think Linc should die. Not because I don’t like him – I do – but because it would be more tragic and ironic if Linc died in the end since it was Michael’s quest to save Linc’s life in the beginning that started all of this.
Imo it should be Linc who should die…I haven’t really liked him in this season at all..and Michael shouldn’t die..why bring sarah back if he is?!
I can’t hate the writers for the decision(s) they have made. Why? They have done their job. Even for those who are upset with them – they did what they set out to do and that is emotionally involve the viewer. It doesn’t mean we have to have like or agree with their decisions, it just means we can’t help but develop strong feelings and connections with the characters and storylines whether they be positive or negative ones.
Think about it. Should we criticize Shakespeare for killing off Romeo and Juliet? Talk about a love story gone completely wrong. Imagine if they hadn’t died and they’d instead lived happily ever after – the entire impact and emotional involvement we feel as an audience would change drastically. I think it would lose the powerful statement behind it as well as the biggest part of its appeal – tragedy.
And yes – Prison Break is by no means Romeo and Juliet and the writers are not Shakespeare, but the point I am trying to make is the writers are trying to make a lasting impact on its viewers. They are trying to make us feel strong sentiments toward the show and its characters. So what if some viewers won’t watch anymore and/or buy the DVD. They have already gotten the reactions and emotional pull they were looking for. What better way to get a rise and soul-shattering reaction from the viewers than to end the show in a dramatic and tragic way? And in some ways – it could even be considered fitting and ironic by some.
Sure – we all have our ideal way the whole storyline would go if we were the writer, but guess what – even if we were the writer, there would still be people out there who wouldn’t agree with our decisions. They can’t make everyone happy, but they can satisfy their own piece of mind knowing that their decisions have created an impact on their viewers.
I personally would love to see Michael and Sara sail off into the sunset. I have envisioned it from the first moment they set eyes on each other. Will I be happy if Michael dies? No. But am I going to boycott the entire series? No. Am I going to criticize the writers? No. It’s not my story to tell. I was devastated when Sara was “killed”. But you know what? I was enjoying Season 3 anyway. Why? Because I still had connections with and had invested time in the other characters. I shared their pain. The moment Michael found out about Sara’s “death” was gut wrenching for me. If Michael does die I will cry and be upset. But I will see it to the end because I want to feel Sara’s pain, feel Linc’s pain, be a part of the bittersweet end that the writer’s have created for us. I may not like it, but it is what it is and I can only accept it for that. Will I feel I have wasted 4 years? Maybe at times. But you know what? It was MY choice. I allowed myself to be sucked into the show, to let it at times consume me, to take over my feelings and emotions. If anything I should be thanking the writers for creating a show that has sometimes been my escape from reality, a show that has been the topic of many exciting “Oh-my-god-what’s-going-to-happen-next?” conversations at work, a show that has satisfied me on many levels and caused me complete sadness on others.
Anyway – that’s just my two cents. However this goes down – I will be watching.
This is what I think and what I wrote to Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora:
You could`ve kill Michael Scofiel if Prison Break was a two hours movie.
You can kill Michael Scofield Prison Break being a FOUR YEARS show.
This is basic from psycological point of view.
And if you dont understand this then you will have troubles in keeping your jobs in the future.
HUGE MISTAKE.

There was a lot of things that I could tell you but somehow since the “head in the box” thing I´m convinced that you and Nick Santora wont have sensibility enought to understand.You`ve made a big mistake with “the head in the box” but you prooved me now that you did`nt learned nothing with that.
I tell you one more thing.
The only thing who really worked in this show was season 1. Outside of prison walls you`ve never been able to fullfill the fans expectations on this show.
I give you a clue: to many gunshots, to many car chasings, to many deaths, to many blood, and no psycological study of these characteres, that could have been such rich characters with such rich psycological games between them !
Such a waste with such a good start and good material to work with.
Such lack of talent, my god !
PS2: I obviously wont buy the unecessary DVD with the 2 extra HORRIBLE episodes, now that I know Michael dies.
NOBODY wants to see that man dying ! (only sick and faithless people) … “have a litle faith” do you still remember ? The fans do.
And you want to know why NOBODY wants to see that man die ?
Because everybody wanted to be him and nobody wants to die !
Get it now ?
(Specialy with a brain tumor ! Is THIS LOVE STORY AFTER ALL ? If it`s not why do you gave us this “Love Story male version” ending?)

Now I even wont be able to apreciate Season 1.
Get over it losers. Michael dies and there’s NOTHING you can do about it. The ending has already been filmed.

linc is shot into his belly (from the pic i have seen). i read somewhere that there is a script which descripes that mike gets shot into the chest and is slowly bleeding to death … but how can this be true?
i never thought about it, that mike could end up in the electric chair. that would be horrible.

I think the “see above” refers to the “woman dies” or i.e. Sara killes Christina.

I absolutely adore MiSa but if Michael is going to die and they can’t be together I would rather Sara end up with Linc than with anyone else…

“michael is goin to be in the chair bc he sacrifices himself for sarah hence when u see sara and his son not him bc he knew the tumor was still there and that he would die neway so michael ends up in the chair.”
I can see that happening – I never really thought about that but it wold be fitting. He ends up in the exact spot he was trying to save his brother from. So on the one hand he accomplished what he set out to do but at the expense of his own fate.
