Episode 4.03: Shut Down

Summary
Prison Break Episode 4.03 ratings were nearly identical to last Monday with 6.478 million viewers. The show won for the 18-34 demographic for the hour, and came in second for the 18-49 demographic. Hopefully it’s a good sign that the show ranked number one, although I was hoping the viewers would rise!

Last March, when EVERYONE was saying that bringing back Sara as going to save the show, I confidently predicted that the ratings would actually fall–and guess what? I was right! I TOLD you all that bringing back sara just to make the loud but ultimately insignificant number of Sara fans happy, would only drive thinking fans away from this show. Evrybody knows that she was dead and bringing her back just makes people throw their hands up in frustration. The writers treated the fans like they were stupid and now they are reaping the consequences of that action. The seaon finale last year garnered 9 million viewers WITHOUT Sara. Now she’s back and they can barely get 6 million?
Where are all those obnoxious Sara fans NOW? The ones who told me that Prison Break’s ratings would SKYROCKET with Sara’s return? HAHAHA! NOT!!
You guys will be lucky if your stupid show doesn’t get cancelled by midyear! These ratings are just further proof that a tv show should never cater to a whining monority of internet obsessed fans. The sara lovers demanded Sara back and they got her–and now it has ruined the show and made it tank in the ratings.
And let me also say that I happen to know that it doesnt matter how well the show does overseas (it gets AWFUL ratings here in Australia and is on at 11:30pm at night because no one watches it, btw…)if the show tanks in the ratings in the uSA, then it will be cancelled/not renewed for another season. Its that simple. The US market is the only one that really matters in this case, and the show has gone from 16 million viewers at its height, to 6 million–that’s pretty bad!

TV shows run at night too, with ratings of about 6,000 viewers. and most of them are asleep.
(UK, might be more for USA)..
But thier budget would be cut down, and the show would lose value, and more people. So less money… etc etc..
Basically, its not going to happen any time soon.

just saying, that there are high ratings in Europe, but since we can`t watch it on TV, we are all waiting for downloads. On national Tv second season is being aired.
I do belive Wentwort and Dominic are hot, really hot, but I like all other “prisoners” aswell. The story line is just right, actors are just right,…
And zhe one thing I do really like about PB are those “small” realtionship`s signs; Sucre – Michael: papi, T-Bag: pretty, Lincoln: blueberry pancakes, or Tour eiffel,… Can you see what I mean?
Anyway EUROPE LOVES PB and it`s actors,…
Maia is so right! Prison Break is filled with “REAL” men. That’s why guys can relate to them and girls LOVE/LUST them! Wentworth and Dominic are not only gorgeous, but incredible actors! Their amazing onscreen chemistry makes their portrayal as brothers very realistic. I can’t get enough of them!
This season Prison Break is BACK and even BETTER!!!! I can’t wait for the next episode! :)
it doesn’t matter how low the ratings are if it it’s still #1, that means all the other shows have even lower ratings ;)

Only bad thing here, we can’t watch any good show on television. Everyone downloads it from the internet or we have to wait when a season is over to buy it!
Yes, PB is very popular here in Germany, too. Almost every week Wentworth is in a magazin with posters of him …
But the German fans have to wait for season 3!! So the most fans watch the episodes online… and so the tv rankings of season 2 were bad :( …

well, even though I sound like a PB comercial, I just wanted to say, Pb is rating high in Europe.
Those ratings are mabye just average, even nothing special in States, but here in Europe, we can’t wait for next episode. As already said PB has enormous succes in Europe and all actors, Miller AND Purcell are totally IN.
I belive that succes of PB is not just because of HOT actors, but because in 45 min on TV you get to see REAL MEN, not some suggarish, sweet boys, which you can see on all the other “popular” series,…
PB is VERY popular in Europe and there are thousands of people waiting for new episode on net,…
They should have show more interaction between Michael and Sara – that would increase the ratings :-)
