I’be just had my 2nd listen to the album while I’m writing the review, and I think you’ll like it.

It’s a great idea for fans to be able to get the album so cheaply but I do wonder where this could lead to.

You’re right though, Prince is getting huge publicity from this, so good luck to him.

Well, for one thing it makes me wish I lived in the UK. I’m a big fan of Prince’s 80s output, although I’ve found him more hit and miss in recent years. Musicology was very cool, but I can’t think of anything else recently that grabbed me.

Having said that, I haven’t sought out much of his new stuff because I’ve found his quality so sporadic. Being able to own the album and see whether it’s any good for the cost of a paper is super appealing.

At the end of the day, I’m all for artists having the ultimate say about how their album is marketed. It’s getting people talking, which is more than many have done about Prince in some time.
