"Possession" – Official Trailer

"Possession" looks like a creepy one. Jess (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is a woman whose life turns surreal after a car accident leaves both her husband Ryan (Michael Landes) and her brother-in-law Roman (Lee Pace) in a coma. Things take an even darker turn when Roman wakes believing that he’s Ryan. As Jess tries to deal with these disturbing events, she struggles with the idea that either the spirit of her husband has returned or that something very sinister is at work.

Sarah Michelle Gellar has done a variety of projects since "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (which is on my list to watch this year), but seems like she’s made a name doing horror movies, with "The Grudge," "The Grudge 2," and "The Return." It would be fun to see her do a romantic comedy or something lighthearted.

Directed by Joel Bergvall, "Possession" opens in theaters Jan. 23, 2009. Rated PG-13 for violence, disturbing images, some sexuality and language. [Official Site]
