Discovery Communications, which is the parent network of channels such as Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and The Science Channel are set to launch Planet Green Network on June 4th. The channel will be 100% dedicated to “green issues”.
The network has also been receiving critical acclaim ever before it launches as it’s set to add an eco-newscast hour which will be hosted by famed journalist Bob Woodruff. Woodruff’s new eco-newscast show will feature subject matter ranging from world events to the impact of climate on policy.
According to the General Manager of Planet Green, Eileen O’Neil, “Planet Green is committed to broadening awareness about the state of the environment and the role each of us can play in securing a brighter future for our planet”.
