File this under unbelievable. Hip hop star Soulja Boy reportedly paid $55 million to purchase a private jet. Yes, fifty-five million dollars. We know he’s rich but why do I get the feeling that his private jet will one day be the center of a bankruptcy court case?

The base price of the G5 jet that Soulja Boy purchased was $35 million. But that wasn’t good enough. Soulja Boy decided to go all Pimp My Jet and spent another $20 million on upgrades. Those upgrades include handcrafted cabinets, multiple liquor bars and some huge flatscreens.

Let’s hope that Soulja Boy keeps cranking out the hits so that he can pay for this monstrosity. It’d be a shame if he became the next MC Hammer.
