Panzer 88: it’s not just for rivetheads anymore. It’s actually a movie that Hellboy co-writer and Mortis Rex
helmer Peter Briggs is directing that is being described as a supernatural thriller set in World War II. I’m a little obsesso when it comes to WWII related anything, so this definitely has my attention.
In an interview with Bloody-Disgusting, Briggs described the story behind his new film: “Panzer is another supernatural thriller: basically a character piece set in a German King Tiger tank in Russia in World War 2. It’s five guys in a tin can, and something’s trying to stop them making it home. It’s creepy, and smart.”
Smart, creepy, Nazis, claustrophobic setting–this will indeed feed my uniform fetish be some good stuff! Will you feel funny inside rooting for the Nazis to escape the evil tanker or will you find joy in wishing them dead? No further word on when this one will be released but since Briggs has his hands full at the moment, it looks like we’ll be waiting a while.
