Orangutan Island – Skills Lost

Ok, I didn’t realize that Orangutan Islandwould be such a short lived series. So let me get everyone caught up on what was missed with these cute lovables.

In this episode titled Skills Lost, the orphaned orangutans are relearning forest skills that were not taught to them by mothers in the forest. They are learning form the humans as well as from each other. In the wild baby orangutans are not really able to play with each other unless the their mothers territories are able to overlap.

At Orangutan Island they are able to constantly interact with each other and create strong bonds that may not have been seen in the wild. There two really cutes Orangutans, Milo and Saturnus. They are trying to build a nest on a platform that is not as high as they would like. Its interesting to see their frustration. Interesting to see how they are so much like like 5 year olds! Saturnus is the smallest male on the island and he is always getting into something or the other…reminds me of someone that I know!
