Noel Gallagher is planning to attend the sentencing of the man who attacked him on stage in 2008. We Brits may forget easily but it takes us a while to forgive. That’s what you get for being a part of a secular society.

In September 2008, former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher was assaulted on stage by a crazed fan, being pushed to the floor and landing awkwardly on a speaker. Gallagher was badly injured to the point that Oasis had to cancel five gigs.
The attacker Daniel Sullivan was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm. He now faces jail time after pleading guilty to the offense and will be sentenced in the next few months.
However, the sentencing has been delayed as, according to the Toronto Star, Noel has requested to attend the sentencing in Canada in order to read out his victim impact statement in person.
Noel doesn’t seem eager to forgive or forget this incident. And rightly so, as he could have suffered much worse injuries than he did. And even so Oasis are no more, there is still some obvious loose ends to tie up.

Poor Noel, he’ll always be a favorite of mine. I watched a vid where Noel sang and strummed his guitar (solo). Oh, he was soo deevine, a voice like an angel, I could listen for hours on end. I think I fell a little-bit in love with Noel when I heard him sing an acoustic version of an OASIS song.
I’m glad that Danny-boy is getting sentenced, serves him right. He should have kept his decrepit sorry-arse off the stage. I think that Sullivan even has a family; and, I wonder what his kids think about him. Dumb dad. Whatever happened to just a simple handshake and/or a signed autograph? Noel’s the hero in all this.

Noel, Noel, oh my sweet Noel. Sing me song of sixpence, a pocketful of rye, four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie. Sweet Noel, my lamb of a thousand years, in my dreams, my fantasies hold you sweet and dear.
