Things aren’t looking too good for some TV comedy lovers.
The news dropped yesterday, just a little over a day before the latest new episodes of the ABC sitcoms In the Motherhood and Samantha Who? were slated to air tonight, beginning at 8pm ET. Instead of offering the poorly rated comedy duo, ABC has decided to go with a repeat of its more reliable performer Grey’s Anatomy from 8pm–9pm.
If it’s any consolation to Motherhood and Samantha fans, the series were already scheduled to end their midseason runs next Thursday anyway. Given the recent upheaval, however, Ugly Betty will air next week on April 30, returning from hiatus a week earlier than originally planned.
Three of seven episodes remain in Motherhood‘s first season and seven of 20 in Samantha‘s sophomore season. Discouragingly, there’s no word yet on when or even if either show will complete its respective run. I definitely won’t miss In the Motherhood, but that’s too bad about Samantha Who?.
no wonder Samantha Who? series stopped. it was kind of non sense anyway.

Is a big mistake! Because Samantha who? is an amazing comedy!
Even though I don’t have an husband ;) I was looking forward to watch it too,I actuallc can’t believe it,I was so excited for this episode!!!Thinking about this thursday I was like:”I want to watch Samantha Who? so badly,of course I am excited to watch Grey’s Anatomy,and My Name Is Earl is great,too,but I REALLY want to watch Samantha Who?!!!I HATE THOSE PEOPLE AT ABC!This is so not ok,how can they treat their viewers this way?Two days before the run?I had no clue,I was turning on the Tv and then…that,and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one!I mean it’s not only this,there are so MANY things that make me wanna choke!Like the thing with Pushing Daisies!They seriously run NINE seasons of According to Jim,but they can’t finish the last season of Pushing Daisies in a piece?And what they did to SCRUBS!Was ANYONE laughing at that show since ABC took ‘em over?Sorry for the outburst,it’s just…they suck.Badly.
Why do they keep stopping Samantha Who? My husband and I love that show!!! We look forward to it each week!! I am very disappointed that the network has pulled it. The whole basis of the show is fabulous and extremely funny. The only way it could get better is if it were an hour long instead of just 30 minutes.

My husband and I looked forward to “Samantha Who?” each week and are EXTREMELY disappointed that it is being stopped!!! It is clever, witty, funny and very well cast. Christina Applegate is a gem. We will miss the laughs and are sorry to lose it!
