Next on ‘The Middle’: Siblings

Although the ABC comedies Modern Family and Cougar Town are taking the night off on December 2 with the respective repeats “Coal Digger” and “Into the Great Wide Open” (you can also catch an encore of Modern Family‘s “Run for Your Wife” at 8pm ET), The Middle will still be in action with the fresh installment “Siblings.”

Fortunately for us viewers, it’s all about the eccentric Heck offspring during the latest episode of Patricia Heaton‘s consistently entertaining and funny new sitcom.

After she gets a whiff of what she considers the ideal siblings, super-brave Frankie takes on the impossible task of not only making her children stop fighting with each other, but also persuading them to treat each other as if they love one another dearly. Allow me: Good luck with that!

And while his wife is busy with their kids, Mike takes on an equally distressing decision: whether or not to give Aunt Edie (Jeanette Miller, ER) the boot at the quarry after she makes an expensive error.

The Middle airs Wednesdays on ABC at 8:30pm ET.
