Last week, CBS debuted its latest sitcom, the Jenna Elfman show Accidentally on Purpose. Next in line is the September 28 episode “Memento.”

During the September 18 pilot, viewers meet Elfman’s 37-year-old character Billie, a film critic who realized during a recent trip to Paris that James (Grant Show, Swingtown), her shallow boss/then-boyfriend, has no intention of making her an honest woman anytime soon.
After the following inevitable breakup, she heads out to a bar for a gripe session with her wild best friend Olivia (Ugly Betty’s Ashley Jensen) and conventional, married younger sister Abby (Lennon Parham of Parks and Recreation). That’s where she meets very young and nearly homeless aspiring chef Zack (Jon Foster, Windfall), who proceeds to knock Billie up after one lucky hookup.
Now that Billie has allowed Zack to move in with her — which means letting his freeloading man-child friends practically do the same — she goes into nosy mode on “Memento” after she finds a note to her among Zack’s few possessions and becomes overwhelmed with curiosity about what he he’s hiding.
Instead of a sneak peek for the new episode, CBS has the clip below from the premiere showing what happens when Billie lets Zack, a guy she barely knows, move into her apartment, partly because she’s pregnant with his child and partly because he didn’t freak out or flee when she broke the news.
Accidentally on Purpose airs Mondays on CBS at 8:30pm ET.
