There’s a lot of discussion about casting for “New Moon” – in particular, the casting of Jane Volturi. I haven’t heard if the part’s been cast yet, but I’m guessing not, since they just announced that the movie is moving forward. Nothing listed on the IMDB site for “New Moon” yet, either.
On author Stephenie Meyer’s Web site, she answers the question, “Can you get me an audition for a part in the movie?”: “Nope. If, for any reason, I do come into possession of knowledge concerning open auditions for any of the parts, I will post that information on the movie page.”
I’m trying to think of all the new parts that would need casting for “New Moon” – Leah, the Volturi, Jane, Alec, Emily, and most of the pack. Am I missing anyone?

Now, for the RUMORS … I’ve heard:
- They’re talking about changing Jacob Black’s character, because he can’t grow 7 inches in one year. So they might be looking for alternatives to play Jacob’s werewolf side.
- There will be an open audition casting in San Antonio, Texas for “New Moon,” but I don’t know when or where.
- They’ve already cast Shauna Powell for the part of Jane, and they start filming “New Moon” in January. Anyone know if this is true?
- Also heard that Jodelle Ferland was in the running for Jane.
- And that this gal was auditioning for the part of Leah.
- They’re looking at Ian McKellen for the part of Aro.
- Alan Rickman is being considered for one of the Volturi members.

Hey, I am new to this site… I am ready to see new moon.. I don’t keep up with the media on casting and we already know who they all are. I live in a small town so probably wont get to see it till it is out on dvd, but that is ok. would rather watch it on my set up and in my own home, so that I can where my sweats and a big shirt with no makeup. We already know it is going to be sad. but hey i wont be upset if someone tells me a little about it befor I get the chance to see it. I hope and pray you all get to see it the first night, but we know how crowded the theaters will all be.. have fun and yes always up for a new topice. I love to talk about the books and movie, but my husband already is looking at me like I am crazy, so i need some fans to talk to. I have a subject I would love to discuss, has anybody paid really close att. to twilight the book? Has anyone noticed how Edward kinda has a side that is hidden. One example is the night befor they go to the meadow, he gose to her room. think about how they are dressed alike and he points it out to her, maybe that wasn’t a suprise to him… Makes it a little more interresting huh?

And I heard from a street alley at night by Don’t Turn On This Street St. that they are already filming Eclipse and soon to film Breaking Dawn.

UM. So, i am trying so damn hard to find a way to contact SOMEONE involved in the making of New Moon to ask them,BEG THEM, not to fucking give Vanessa Slutchins the part as Leah. If she is in this, it will ruin Eclipse because she will play a large part in that movie. I am so utterly PISSED, like she is d.i.s.n.e.y. She needs to stay there. Anyone know of ANY way? Dakota Fanning has been casted for the part of Jane. it’s all over youtube, and if i’m wrong, that’s just what i’ve heard. i really don’t think that she will be right for the part, though.

okay guys girls the taylor lautner and dakota fanning thing is getting old, watch tv, or youtube, seriously, and some of yall r right on one part, they r ONLY looking for celebrities who have experince, sad i know but true, becuase i no some of us r REALLY great actresses and actors, but we rnt exactly their “piece of pie” its very unfair, but life goes on and i cant wait to c wat they do 4 the 3rd and4th movie ttyl!:)

Alright, about being a Quileut maybe you cannot be 5 feet tall right? but that doesn’t means some effects can help.

They wont pick any of us that aren’t Hollywood beauties. They’re solely looking for those that are beautiful and skinny. Heck, it doesn’t matter if you’re too dark, you wont have to be a vampire, you could be a werewolf, but they wont cast you unless you’re in perfect shape.
Being beautiful is nothing. I know many people that can act, sing, draw, and write like no one else can, and they aren’t always perfect looking. So I say to you, people casting for the Twilight saga, quit being a-holes to everyone that doesn’t look perfect, because there aren’t as many of them as there are of the rest of us “in between” people.
All of this “anyone can audition” is a bunch of crap. Deep down you all must know that the only people they’re REALLY looking for are the beautiful, skinny people. They’ll probably tell you that you did well, rather than saying “you’re just too ugly to be a vampire, or too short to be a werewolf.” Odds are if you’re not perfectly gorgeous then they wont even film you as an extra.
