There’s new information now for the April 19 episode of Family Guy, according to two different sources: it’s going to be the infamous pot episode as I’ve already speculated on this site. Here’s the synopsis (this isn’t official, I’ll update as I get more information):
After Brian gets thrown in the slammer for drug possession, he launches a campaign to legalize marijuana. Mayor West passes the law, and the whole town goes to pot on the “420″ episode of FAMILY GUY airing Sunday, April 19 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (FG-616) (TV-14 D, L, S)
Sounds good? Bad? Not sure, I personally find the episodes where Brian gets all righteously indignant about something or other kind of boring, but that’s just me.
Technically it kind of IS official since it’s from a Fox press release, but it is possible for it to change.

As long as there’s going to be a new Family Guy episode i’m ok with it, even if it is another episode about Brian.

That aside I think this is a ground breaking episode in where a larger and more or less slightly ignorante group of people (atleast towards marijuana) can be introduced to pot. For me this shows me that we are on the way to a decrimilized way of life in respect to weed. I enjoy seeing a main stream show, like Family Guy, represnt marijuana, although it STILL has that negative spin on it, to appeal to those extremists….
Only my opinion, and my alone, I think :P
