Always good for some insider information, the Family Guy Freakin’ Blog has added a new entry with musings from Family Guy director Dan Povenmire about editing:
"It’s hard to cut stuff that you’ve created yourself. It’s a little like killing your babies, but when I see student films and shorts the biggest problem that they have is that no one edited them down. People become too attached to every frame and the project suffers. Hell, look at all the feature films recently that are over two and a half hours. Do we really need a 3-hour “Superman” or “King Kong”?"
Good advice for life, too. Gosh, am I actually writing a USEFUL post here? On this superficial Family Guy blog? The Haldol is (finally) kicking in!
