So the MythBusters 100th episode is set to air on February 20th but I have the exclusive insdier secrests as to what’s going to take place. The 100th episode will be a tribute to Angus MacGyver, also known as MacGyver. In the 100th episode, special effects experts Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage as well as their "Build Team" of Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara will tackle some of the MacGyver TV show character’s seemingly impossible escapes to see if they are actually plausible.
Hyneman and Savage will try to blow a hole in a wall using pure sodium metal dropped in a bottle of water, while Belleci, Byron and Imahara will try to build an ultralight airplane with raw bamboo, a small engine and a roll of duct tape.
The 100th episode will end with the "Build Team" challenging Hyneman and Savage to a four-part MacGyver competition — picking a lock, developing film with common kitchen liquids, building a compass, and devising an aerial signal for a rescue helicopter — with just one hour and no Hollywood help to finish each task.
