MythBusters 100th Episode - MacGyver Tribute RECAP

Here is your long awaited MythBusters MacGyver Episoderecap. I hope that you guys are just pacifying me by reading this…cause if you’re TRUE MythBusters fans you’ve already seen this episode at least 10 times!

Anyway, so on this 100th episode MacGyver tribute the Mythbusters wanted to see:

1. Did MacGyver really blow a hole in the wall using pure sodium metal dropped in water? The famous sodium jailbreak myth. So basically in this episode MacGyver needed a hole in a wall quick so that he could escape from the jail. Adam did a small scale test first to see if the sodium had an explosive potential. Yip-pie…the initial tests worked in the lab so it seemed that MacGyver got it right, time for the large scale tests.

2. The build team will build and ultra-light airplane using raw bamboo, a small engine…and the FAMOUS MacGyver tool.
This was the best one for me to but cause I just knew that it wouldn’t work. In the episode it took the team almost four days to build the Ultra-lite, as opposed to like 10 minutes for MacGyver. Once they finally got it in the air it was just not able to fly…it was too weak. Sorry Mac!
