‘My Name Is Earl’ Lands Be-witch-ing Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano
TV Guide columnist Michael Ausiello scooped today that former Charmed star Alyssa Milano is onboard to show My Name Is Earl cast members who’s the boss. The 34-year-old actress, also a one-time regular on the popular mid-1990s primetime soap Melrose Place, is a sitcom veteran who first achieved prominence as a teenager while playing Tony Danza’s daughter Samantha Micelli on the 1980–90s comedy Who’s the Boss?. Cast as a potential love interest for Earl (Jason Lee), Milano is said to have at least an eight-episode run to look forward to at NBC.

According to Ausiello, “Earl meets Milano’s tough and quirky character through fellow inmate Frank (Michael Rapaport). The two bond and, through a bizarre twist of fate that harkens back to a seminal moment in Earl’s past, he ends up teaching her the ins-and-outs of karma.”

[And, yeah, Ausiello didn't forget to note the sexual innuendo kinda, sorta suggested by the karma description (Ins-and-outs … Get it?).]

This is very nice casting, which could lead to one of the most entertaining developments on TV this fall if only Milano’s character and Jaime Pressly‘s character somehow come to engage in one of Joy’s infamous girl-on-girl smackdowns. Who else is up for a girlfight between two of the purtiest gals on the tube? I’m definitely in.
