‘My Boys’ Gets Third Season

Jordana SpiroTBS made it official on Tuesday: the network has opted to renew the Jordana Spiro sitcom My Boys for a third season of nine episodes. Fans of the series can look forward to its return in the first quarter of 2009.

In the announcement, Content Creation Group senior vice president Michael Wright stated, “It’s that truly rare television combination of a talented cast with great chemistry, extremely smart and funny writing and outstanding production. MY BOYS is a quality show with a quality audience that continues to make the case that Turner is a true broadcast substitute.”

For those not in the know, My Boys stars Spiro as Chicago-based, 20-something sportswriter PJ Franklin, who’s constantly on the hunt for love, and her group of primarily male friends, plus one female best friend.

Now I’m looking forward to the resolution of the second-season wedding cliffhanger, which had the groom Bobby (Kyle Howard) reconsidering his feelings for PJ, who seemed to have moved on to a relationship with his brother. Good to know we’ll get some answers about what happens next.
