It has doom written all over it. Todd Farmer, the man behind The Messengers, and Jason X, has taken on My Bloody Valentine, a remake of a 1981 film that was thrown into the lump that was the 80's horror explosion. This film was terrible the first time. I don't see what can be done to get the remake off the ground. It may have a chance opening weekend to make some money, considering the only other, and less than noteworthy, films being released that day are Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and Hotel for Dogs. I feel that Jensen Ackles is one of the most underrated talents on television as Dean Winchester in Supernatural, but have to wonder if he took this role because he felt a little jealous that Jared Padalecki will be in the upcoming Friday the 13th remake; a movie in my opinion that should not have been touched as far as remakes are concerned.
