MTV Takes on 'Teen Wolf'

Everyone’s favorite high school wolf is heading back to class for MTV’s reimagining of the 1985 film Teen Wolf. MTV revealed full casting and pilot details for the new series which will focus heavily on the romance but still attempt to retain some of the good buddy humor that made Michael J. Fox a hit in the high school film about a coming of age wolf.

The series features Tyler Posey, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed and Dylan O’Brien with the pilot penned by Jeff Davis of Criminal Minds fame. This dramatic thriller/comedy revolves around Scott McCall (Posey), a dorky high school student who discovers his wolfen abilities and becomes a hit with the ladies among other things. O’Brien plays Scott’s best friend who is skeptical but curious about his friend’s transformation. Reed takes on the role of cutie pie, girl next door who falls for Scott and Hoechlin plays the handsome but vicious werewolf out for blood.

The big question really is, do you think they’ll keep the van surfing scene for the series? And what about the wolf dance? These are serious questions people.
