‘Monk’ Sixth-Midseason Premiere: Mr. Monk Joins a Cult (1-11-08)

The sixth season of USA’s super popular crime dramedy Monk kicks off tonight at 9pm EST with “Mr. Monk Joins a Cult.” The episode features Deal or No Deal host Howie Mandel as a charismatic cult leader who puts Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) under his spell during the course of a murder investigation. This setup should lead to some hilarious scenes since it’s long been known that Mandel demonstrates a few Monk-like OCD tendencies in real life.
