"Miracle at St. Anna" – New Clips

miracle1

I just received some cool new clips for Miracle at St. Anna, Spike Lee’s film from a screenplay written by James McBride, who also wrote the novel. It’s about four African-American soldiers who are members of the U.S. Army as part of the all-black 92nd Buffalo Soldier Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy, during World War II.

After one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy, they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit. I haven’t seen this movie yet, but it looks fantastic, and I’ll try and see it this weekend and report back to you.

It’s rated R for strong war violence, language and some sexual content/nudity, so not for kids. Opened in theaters on Friday, Sept. 26, 2008. Visit the official site.

Check out the clips after the jump…
