Michael Bay to Shoot "Transformers 2" Scenes in IMAX

First The Dark Knight. Now Transformers 2.

Michael Bay is directing key scenes of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with that massive, beautiful IMAX camera. Nice. I suppose he’ll be even more impossible to work with (so I hear).

Others are following suit, too. Jon Favreau is talking about it for Iron Man 2, and D.J. Caruso is looking into it for Y: The Last Man. This is cool, because it means an even better viewing experience for all of us. I say go for it.

“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” will be released in conventional and IMAX theaters on June 26, 2009.
