Matthew Perry’s Showtime pilot, The End of Steve, has fleshed out its cast, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Perry, shown at right leaving a West Hollywood bar this weekend, will play Steve, a depressed local talk show host who’s trying to turn his life around. Joining him are a slew of stage and screen vets.
Tony-nominee Martha Plimpton — known for her teenage role in The Goonies and more recently for guest spots on TV shows such as ER and Law & Order franchises — of Steve’s talk show.
Kiele Sanchez, who has had recurring roles on Lost and Samantha Who?, will play Steve’s co-host and office crush.
Eddie Shin, whose credits include Gilmore Girls and That 80s Show, will play Steve’s boss, Bob Hu.
Nate Torrence, who worked with Perry on the short-lived Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, will play Steve’s assistant, Nathan.
Dreama Walker, who plays Upper East Sider Hazel on Gossip Girl, has been cast as the hot young daughter of the manager of Steve’s apartment building.
The pilot is currently in pre-production.
