I can still remember the day when Marvin Gaye was killed. I was really young but it left such a mark on me. My family just loved him as an artist and I can remember there being such sadness in my home that night and over the next few days. The idea of a movie about his life makes me both sad and happy at the same time but I am very encouraged by the casting news.
James Gandolfini (The Sopranos) will join Jesse L. Martin in the independent film, “Sexual Healing,” which will follow the last years of Gaye’s life.
[The] story covers the life of Gaye (Martin) from his parting with Motown to his self-imposed exile in Europe and will include his relationship with Freddy Cousaert (Gandolfini), the promoter who guided the singer through the recording of his biggest-selling album, “Midnight Love.”
Anyone else interested? What do you think – do Martin and Gaye resemble? I think so!

The two really do resemble.
Hopefully, they’ll do a great job on this movie considering what an imortant person Marvin Gaye was.
