Actor John Francis Daley (he plays “Dr. Lance Sweets” on Fox’s Bones) and Jonathan Goldstein are busy rewriting the comedy Burt Dickenson, Most Powerful Magician on the Planet Earth. (Let’s hope the name gets shorter, too.)
The screenplay by Chad Kultgen follows a big-time Las Vegas illusionist who’s threatened by a younger “extreme magician.” Sounds fun!
Daley and Goldstein are hot right now, having sold The $40,000 Man to New Line/Benderspink last year. That’s scheduled for a 2010 release, as is their family comedy, Hours of Fun.
