Ludacris knows that it’s hard to get by without a car. Many people are fired because they can’t get to work on time or are having their old cars breaking down on the roads. So he decided to team up with a local Nissan dealership and give away 20 used /good condition cars to those who needed them the most. Ludacris held a contest online called the “Stars For Cars” contest.

He had entrants write him a short 300 word essay on thir situation and how a car could help them keep their job. 9,000 contestants submitted papers and in the end only 20 were chosen for the grand price of winning a free refurbished car and a months worth of gas for free. The only thing they’ll have to worry about is the registration fees and insurance.

What a fantastic thing for Ludacris to do! I have been searching desperately for a way to help my niece and her children find a donated car, and stumbled on this website in the search. She has been through some terrible times this past year and it is tragic to see such need in this wealthy country of ours and feel so powerless to help! I know she is not alone.
