These flash forwards are presented in the order that they were viewed on the show. In parenthesis are numbers corresponding to the order that they flash forwards would appear chronologically for Sun’s life off the island.
Episode 4.07: Ji Yeon
(3) Sun begins having labor pains. She calls emergency services and tells them something is wrong.
(4) A nurse wheels Sun into the hospital. They try to remove her ring but she yells at them and says, “No, not my ring!” They tell her that the baby is in distress and she asks for Jin.
(5) Sun cries out in pain. The doctor says he has to perform a C-section. She tells him no, not until Jin arrives. As she continues to call for him the baby moves further down and starts crying. The doctor tells Sun to push. She gives birth to her daughter.
(6) Later Sun is home. She puts on her wedding ring and gets dressed. The doorbell rings. It’s Hurley, wearing a suit. They hug. He asks if anyone else is coming and is pleased when she says no. They go to a cemetery. They kneel in front of a tombstone. She tells Jin that she wishes he could have been there. She says she named her “Ji Yeon. I named her just like you wanted.” She says she misses him and begins crying.
Episode 4.12: There’s No Place Like Home
(1) Ms. Decker, a representative for Oceanic Airways, comes into the cargo area where the Oceanic Six sit. Sun is sitting there, looking somber. Ms. Decker tells them that there will be press there when they land. Jack tells them to remember the story they need to tell. The plane lands. Sun hugs her mother while her father looks on.
(2) The Oceanic Six sit in front of microphones as they are interviewed from the press about their location and what happened. A woman stands and speaks in Korean. Sun says that she asked if her husband was one of the people who died on the island. Sun pauses and says, “The answer is no. He never made it off the plane.”
(3) Sun is visibly pregnant as she wakes up the stairs in the Paik building. She confronts her father, saying that he hated Jin. Her father stands up and tells her to respect him. Sun steps toward him and says that with the Oceanic settlement she has bought a controlling interest in the company, so now he will respect her. She tells him that he ruined Jin’s life, that he is responsible for his death. “I am going to have my baby. And then we shall discuss the plans for the future of the company. Our company.”
Episode 4.12 (Part 2 and 3): There’s No Place Like
(7) Sun walks down a street and answers he cell phone. Her mother says that Ji Yeon wants to talk to her. Sun then tells her mother that she’s in London, finishing up business. She then walks up to Charles Widmore. He asks her father is doing. After some small talk she asks him if he is really going to pretend that he doesn’t know who she is. He says he doesn’t know what Sun is talking about. She tells him that he does, and that he knows they’ve been lying all this time. “You and I have common interests,” she says as she hands him a business card. He asks why she wants to help him but she walks away, tears in her eyes.
