It is then revealed that Sawyer knew all along that she had the money but he is not going through with the con. He is threatened by Gordy, who says he will kill them both if Sawyer doesn’t follow through and pay him.

Sawyer goes home and tells Cassidy the truth. She is upset and screams and hits him. He tells her that Gordy is going to kill them because he won’t take her money.
