LOST nabs (a little) Emmy love

The nominees for the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this morning, and Lost scored five nominations (or six, depending on how you look at it). Most notably, Lost was nominated for best drama series, and actor Michael Emerson scored the show’s one and only acting nod, for Best Supporting Actor. The show also managed to squeak in a writing nomination for the Season 5 finale, “The Incident” — with all four other nominees going to episodes of Mad Men.

A lot of fans have been hoping and lobbying for nominations for Josh Holloway (Sawyer) and Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet), who did their best work to-date on the show in Season 5, thanks to the storyline of their unexpected romance. No such luck.
