p.s. i totally am on board with joes thinking and i honestly hope your RIGHT!!! lol however what about sun? also i wanted to say im rooting for sawyer and juliet because kate and jack had multiple times to be together and played games and they relaized it wasnt meant to be when and once they were forced to be with eachother w/o any other people… i hope kate and jack either get together or stay single forever as revenge for playing with peoples emotions. and sawyer and juliet are perfect because to me they are yin to the others yang

so as far as daniel Farraday is involved in the past i think was shown in the premiere episode of this seasons lost when they show chang rushing down below and we see daniel looking at the pocket of energy and how he had a dharma work suit on! i think that they were meant to end up on this past and that is how he had th oppurtunity to warn charlotte, write that book with the constant, and know about desmond and the time shift… but maybe it is a cycle that is being shown. i dont know but it is a good way to help tie things closerr together.. and the whole cesar idea i think is out of whack

Robin, the same reason locke used to go with the flashes yet the others or french people or Dharma people didn’t. Thats why Frank and Ben and the rest of the plane didn’t vanish, they were’nt from the 815 group. Maybe Locke was included in the non time traveling group because he was dead at the time.

Definitely a possibility, Joe. But if true, it begs the question: why did those specific individuals experience the flash/time travel, and others — like Frank, Ben, and Locke — did not?

And also… why would Hydra island not be included in the perimeter of the time jumps, when we know that that perimeter extends well out into the ocean around the main island?

Maybe Ben and Locke and the Ajira people are not in the same time as the O6 and thus not in 1974. The O6 experienced a flash on the plane and vanished thus taking them to 1974 the rest of the plane experienced no flash.

You mention that the statue (and therefore the island) are “pretty much the opposite side of the world from Egypt” — that’s a major plot point actually: both Ben and Locke end up in Tunisia after exiting the island. Clearly, that spot is another electromagnetic/whatever spot, like the island. And maybe it’s exactly the other side of the earth.

And it’s possible that the statue and ankh are somehow connected to that fact…
