Tonight brings us episode #6 of Lost Season 5, entitled “316” (that’s three-sixteen, not three-one-six). The episode is sure to bring us answers, as some of the Oceanic 6 finally come face-to-face with Eloise Hawking and her Church Basement of Wonders, and learn just how to get back to the island. Who will go? Who won’t? What is that basement all about? And where has the island moved to? These questions and many more should be answered in a particularly pivotal chapter in the Lost saga. Oh, and tonight’s episode is written by showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, so you know some pretty huge stuff has got to go down.
As always, here are some pre-game goodies to get you in the proper mindset for tonight’s appointment viewing:
- A good place to start is Doc Jensen’s theory-of-the-week, which this week draws direct parallels between Lost and The Chronicles of Narnia. You’ll be surprised at how many similarities he finds between tonight’s ep and the Narnia volume Prince Caspian. From EW.com.
- It would be a really good idea to take a look at the early history of the Dharma Initiative. From Lostpedia.
- Watch the video below from the Associated Press featuring an interview with Evangeline Lilly, who drops some hints about her character’s future with little Aaron.
