Juliet told Sawyer in season 3 that the Others were building a runway – maybe this is for Ajira airways, this is assuming the Losties were in the future when they found the Ajira water bottle.

Maybe Ajira is offering trips in time – From Ajira’s website – “Check back often to discover new ways to get lost in the world.
No Borders, Now Boarding – Ajira Airways”

The people shooting at Sawyer, Juliet, Miles, Faraday. Charlotte and Locke are deliberately shown from afar. I wouldnt be surprised if we see this event again but from the Oceanic Six, Ben and Locke’s point of view. Maybe they were in the other boat.

Concerning time spent on the island and nose bleeds , I don’t think its being on the island at all but more to do with the brain and the time shifts. For example.. the rat that dies during Farraday’s experiments, the man on the boat the first time Desmond is jumping around ( can’t remember his name), but it was when they first introduced michael back on the show.

Interesting idea re: the Whispers, but some potential problems exist… If I recall, Rousseau herself described this phenomenon, but the self-visitation wouldn’t apply in her case. Also, the Whispers have usually preceded the appearance of The Others or other unusual sightings, and would seem more closely connected to whatever the source of those might be.

In “The Constant”, Desmond started to feel the effects of the time travel until he found his constant. Faraday is likewise asymptomatic because he also has found his constant – who just happens to be Desmond.

Ever notice how Juliet always gets people to talk? Last night her nose bled. Sure she was picked by Ben because of her skills, but could she possibly also be an other? Being born on the island seems to lend a unique gift to each individual. Maybe Juliets gift is a truth serum. I can’t remember if she was able to crack Jacks shell when he was prisoner. I’m probably way off.

I like your whisper theory. Maybe that explains why the others are so versed in working the island. They know how to listen to their own whispers of warning.
