Lil Wayne is a role model to every kid in the hood who has been told they arent worth anything or who has been neglected. his music might not be acceptable in church but if you turn the tables on it then hes a hero to every kid in a poor home or any young musician. he came from nothing and now hes a multi millionare all by himself.

If he only rapped about daisys and school, no one would buy his albums and that 200k would have not been donated.

I do admire the fact that Lil’ Wayne has donated $200,000 for this park and other charities. However, I think we need to consider the messages he sends in his songs. If the messages are primarily about getting money, sex, “staying hood,” etc., there is no amount of money that can fix the negaive energy that this creates amoung our young people. And please don’t mention 1 or 2 positive or conscious songs from Mr. Wayne. What is the primary make up of his work? Accountabilty is important, so is positive energy and karma.

I think that this is the most precious thing that I have seen any hip hop artist have done yet. I am more than sure Lil’ Wayne isn’t the only artist from New Orleans. You never forget home no matter how high you have climbed that financial ladder to success. Please help rebuild New Orleans, it has always been a dream of mines to one day go there and I would love to see some of the old New Orleans that I have read about. Thanks Lil’ Wayne for what you done for your city. Kids are ” ALL ” our tomorrow’s.
