Let's Send Jason Packing To "Supernatural" Instead!

Horror hottie Jared Padalecki (Supernatural, House Of Wax) is closing the deal to star in the new film, Friday The 13th, directed by Marcus Nispel. This  movie is an update of sorts from the original, however, I’m hoping it has something fresh to offer fans of the original movies, such as more of the mythology.

It seems the infamous Camp Crystal Lake murders have begun again, but this time, Jason may have met his match. Jared will portray a young man who is at the lake to investigate these murders. When will this movie be released?Friday, February 13, 2009 of course!

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Were it Sam Winchester going up against Jason, I figure the deal would be sealed with just a bit of Sam’s Latin incantations. Here we have a knife wielding maniac wearing a hockey mask… and an investigator. This is going to be tense to say the least.

In actuality, all the movies from the franchise do not feature Jason, as the murders are sometimes inspired by Jason, so I’m trying to have high hopes for this one.
